THE OTHER END OF THE LINE

I sense a rasp in his voice
A flood rush and longingness
Curiously he inquired
Pleasantly he attained
At the other end of the line…..
I only hoped,…… for
A tender heart
A selfless friend
Unconditionally loving
Caring compassionate
Understanding
A clown who would raise laughter
To be won by my graces
Hoped that the tenderness in his voice would not loose its softness.
Hoped he is good looking too.
Protective
Friendship called
Care called
Newness called
Freshness called
As we talked…..at the other end of the line till the break of dawn
